Caregiver Jobs: Now Hiring

HomeCare of the Rockies is seeking empathetic, warm-hearted people to provide ongoing care for our senior clients. You are the right person for this job if you enjoy helping others, seek the freedom of working outside a cubicle or office, and want to be part of a forward-thinking agency that’s delivering exceptional care to seniors in the greater Boulder community.

As a HomeCare of the Rockies Caregiver, you’ll be responsible for providing care for your assigned client (or clients) as outlined in the care plan. Our Caregivers combine a strong work ethic, patience, and a sense of humor – plus a sincere desire to help seniors maintain their dignity and self-respect.

The Caregiver job entails being active and present with your client. You will not be bored. You’ll perform the tasks outlined below while continually improving your skills and knowledge through ongoing, paid training.

  • Provide the following Caregiver duties: offering warm companionship; light meal planning, preparation and housekeeping; personal care and bathing assistance; incontinence related duties; errands and shopping; transportation for medical appointments or outings; and medication reminding.
  • Study and exactly execute the prepared care plan for each client to which you’ve been assigned. (You’ll be guided and supported by a Care Manager so that you’re prepared and confident.)
  • Arrive to work on time, in your clean and crisp HomeCare of the Rockies uniform and name badge.
  • Communicate all schedule changes, concerns, and any other pertinent care related issues directly to the office team or Care Manager.
  • Follow all HomeCare of the Rockies policies regarding client care, behavior, integrity in order to provide consistency and professionalism to all clients.
  • Practice self-care as taught in HomeCare of the Rockies training classes.

HomeCare of the Rockies provides paid training for the Caregiver position. You don’t need any type of healthcare experience – although that’s certainly a plus! As an agency, we do not provide medical care or first aid to our clients.

To do well as a HomeCare of the Rockies Caregiver, however, we ask that you have the following skills and qualifications:

  • A genuine willingness to help others as well as patience, compassion, and empathy for our elderly clients.
  • Ability to perform all functions related to the caregiving position.
  • Strong work ethic and a five star record with regard to showing up on time, ready and willing to work.
  • Desire to learn new things, such as how to provide exceptional care to seniors, and ambition to advance your caregiving skills, knowledge, and income.
  • A clean driving record, up-to-date insurance, and a reliable vehicle.

In addition to paid training and increases in pay as training is completed, HomeCare of the Rockies provides an integrated team of Care Managers, schedulers, trainers, and office staff who support you in your job. Our mission is to help you build confidence and expertise. We want you to do what you love – care for your clients – and do it well. We consider and treat our caregivers like gold – because they are.

Hours: Part-time and full-time positions available, including nights and weekends.

Salary: $11 per hour to start, with incremental increases up to $15 per hour as training completed.

Benefits: Paid training, increases in pay as training is completed, Workman’s Comp, and 401(k) after one year of service.
